Is Hardik Pandya Deserving of the Hate Around him?
Recently, Hardik Pandya has been receiving a lot of unwarranted hate that he probably shouldn’t. I mean, him becoming the captain was not undeserved. He captained for Gujarat Titans and led them to two consecutive final appearances, so how is the hate justified that he is not qualified to captain Mumbai Indians? We should also not forget that he has captained the Indian team as well.
Now, all these internet kids would say that while Rohit is a better captain then why Hardik? Well, if you’re moving to a different organisation from your previous one, you should understand that you won’t go unless there’s some kind of promotion with it. And all the people getting offended with the captaincy should take it as if Hardik is preparing himself to captain India someday. Let’s be honest here, even if Rohit captains the Indian team now, later Rohit will retire before Hardik. Then who will captain your so-called favourite IPL team and the Indian team? It has to be someone, so why wouldn’t Hardik try his luck at that time? And honestly, take it as Hardik playing mock to test his captaincy.
Another thing is Hardik doesn’t deserve this unnecessary hate since it’s the management’s decision to make him the captain. And do you really think if someone is given a position of captaincy, then he would deny it, saying that he has other senior players? It’s not about the team having a better player; it’s about you trying your luck and seeing where you can stand and belong. I feel it’s totally fair that Hardik is the new captain of Mumbai Indians.
